What exactly do I get?
A private web link — for example magicaldayinvite.com/e/amal-and-sarah — that opens as a full digital invitation on any phone. It has your names, date, invitation wording, each ceremony with times and map links, your story, photos, a countdown and an add-to-calendar button. You share the link on WhatsApp, and that's it.
Do I need to build anything myself?
No. You choose a design, send us the details and photos (WhatsApp is perfect), and we create the invitation for you. You review it on a private preview link, tell us what to change, and we publish when you're happy.
How long does it take?
Your preview is ready within 3 working days of receiving your details. Revisions usually turn around the same or next day. If the date is close, the rush add-on gets it to you in 24 hours.
Can it be in Sinhala or Tamil?
Yes. Every design has Sinhala and Tamil typefaces built in, matched to its English type. Most couples use English with Sinhala or Tamil for the invitation wording and parents' names; the Sinhala/Tamil add-on covers setting that properly in a second script.
Can I include the Poruwa, church service, reception and homecoming?
Yes — add as many ceremonies as you like, each with its own date, time, venue, map link, dress code and note (for example the auspicious time). The homecoming is treated as a proper event, not an afterthought.
How do guests open it?
They tap the link. No app, no account, no download. It loads quickly on mobile data and works on older phones too.
Is the invitation private?
It's not listed anywhere or indexed by Google — only people with the link can see it. If you'd like it taken down after the wedding, just say so.
How long does it stay live?
6 months as standard, or 18 months with the extend add-on, so guests can look back at photos long after the day. You can always extend later.
Can I change something after it's published?
Yes. Small corrections (a time, a spelling) are free. Larger changes count as a revision round; extra rounds can be added.
What do you need from me?
Your names (and parents' names if you'd like them on the invitation), the date, each ceremony with venue and time, a short story if you want one, a few photos, and the design you've chosen. A Google Maps link for each venue is helpful but we can find it.
What does it cost?
LKR 5,000 for a complete invitation in any design — names, wording, up to three ceremonies with maps, your story, meet-the-couple portraits, venue, up to 10 photos, countdown, calendar, a preview and one round of revisions, live for 6 months. Then add only what you'd use: more photos, music, a second language, rush delivery, longer hosting, custom colours. The pricing page adds it up as you tick.
How do I pay?
50% by bank transfer to start, and the balance once you approve the preview and before we publish. We'll send bank details on WhatsApp.
Do you do RSVP or guest lists?
Not yet — for now most couples collect RSVPs through the contact person named on the invitation. RSVP is on our roadmap and existing invitations will be able to add it.
Do you do birthdays, engagements or corporate events?
We're focused on weddings for now so that every invitation is genuinely good. Message us anyway — for some events we can adapt a design.
